In more northern climates, fall is splashy and colorful. The hills of upstate New York and mountains of Virginia and Tennessee are painted in bright oranges, reds and yellow. Fall in the Miss-Lou is more subtle, gradual, even to the point where locals claim we have no fall at all. Here is a picture of October in Natchez is all its subtleties.
