"You should go to the cemetery. No, really." I say this to tourists, but I could say it to almost everyone. There is no more inspiring and more peaceful a place in Natchez than the city cemetery — not only because it over looks the Mississippi River and has some of the most beautiful monuments I have ever seen, but also because walking in such a beautiful setting can be meditative and life affirming. I know its sounds weird that a place for the dead can uplift the spirit. But it can. You should go. No, really.
