At right is a photo taken by Walker Evans in 1936 of a building on Main Street in Natchez. At left, is a photo taken this week during Natchez's high tourist season. Evans was a photographer working for the Works Progress Administration when he came through Natchez. What is most remarkable is how little the building has changed in 80 years. Here is another view taken this week during the same time of day Evans apparently took his photos that day.
