Day 153 — Late night
Ben Hillyer, 2014
Late evening sun in the country — no TV, little cell phone coverage. About as close to meditative as you can get.
Day 152 — What's in a name?
Ben Hillyer, 2014
There is a reason why they call the house on the corner of Rankin and Washington streets Greenleaves. The Doric columns from the front portico peak over the summer green vegetation surrounding the house.
Day 151 — Triangulation
Ben Hillyer, 2014
This is one of my favorite spots in Natchez, only because this is where the town grid changes, creating odd juxtapositions like this barber shop and the Zion AME Church on Martin Luther King Jr. Street.
Day 150 - Sky's the limit
Ben Hillyer, 2014
I used to follow a blogger that published one photo a day of the sky and clouds. He had some amazing pictures, but I wondered if it got too boring and repetitious. Wednesday evening' light show makes me think otherwise.
Day 149 — Simply put
Ben Hillyer, 2014
I am usually drawn to iconic architectural forms, like the back of this shotgun house on Canal Street in Natchez. I am especially attracted to the lines and textures and abstract shape.
